Overview about Tent Peak

Tent Peak climbing is a wonderful journey to the top of a trekking peak above 5,695m. Tent Peak (also called Tharpu Chuli) is one of the best trekking peak in west Nepal. This peak lies on the lap of Annapurna mountains and in the central part of Annapurna Sanctuary.
A Great 360-degree view of the surrounding Annapurna massif, a beautifull outlook, and numerous Annapurna region peak snowcaps are also highlights of the journey. Tharpu Chuli's peak offers amazing panoramic views of the entire Himalayas, including Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna III (7555m), Annapurna V (7525m), Annapurna South (7219m), Gangapurna (7455m), Fang (7647m), Fishtail (6997m), Hiunchuli (6331m), and Singu Chuli (6501m).

As the trails to Tent Peak lies in Annapurna Sanctuary, the occasional glimpses of wildlife and vegetation are very common. Walking across the dense forests of rhododendron, pine and oak, you come to see many birds and animals.

The birds like Himalayan Pheasant, the national bird of Nepal including other all time birds entertain you by singing melodiously during the hike. Likewise, the animals like musk deer, himalayan Langoor, Himalayan black bear, etc. play hide and seek with you.
Tent Peak climbing rewards you with the Gurung and Magar cultural practices of Annapurna region. This region is highly populated by the Gurung people who follow both Hindu and Buddhist religion.
