Overview about Tent Peak
Tent Peak climbing is a wonderful journey to the top of a trekking peak above 5,695m. Tent Peak (also called Tharpu Chuli) is one of the best trekking peak in west Nepal. This peak lies on the lap of Annapurna mountains and in the central part of Annapurna Sanctuary.
A Great 360-degree view of the surrounding Annapurna massif, a beautifull outlook, and numerous Annapurna region peak snowcaps are also highlights of the journey. Tharpu Chuli's peak offers amazing panoramic views of the entire Himalayas, including Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna III (7555m), Annapurna V (7525m), Annapurna South (7219m), Gangapurna (7455m), Fang (7647m), Fishtail (6997m), Hiunchuli (6331m), and Singu Chuli (6501m).
As the trails to Tent Peak lies in Annapurna Sanctuary, the occasional glimpses of wildlife and vegetation are very common. Walking across the dense forests of rhododendron, pine and oak, you come to see many birds and animals.
The birds like Himalayan Pheasant, the national bird of Nepal including other all time birds entertain you by singing melodiously during the hike. Likewise, the animals like musk deer, himalayan Langoor, Himalayan black bear, etc. play hide and seek with you.
Tent Peak climbing rewards you with the Gurung and Magar cultural practices of Annapurna region. This region is highly populated by the Gurung people who follow both Hindu and Buddhist religion.
Itinerary
Day 0: Airport/Tourist bus park picks up on arrival and transfers to the hotel, short arrival info and trip plan at the office
Day 1: Pokhara to Ulleri village(1950m) 6 hrs, including lunch break.
Day 2: Ulleri to Ghorepani(2850m) 6 hrs, including lunch break.
Day 3: Sunrise at Poon hill then trek to Tadapani(2,640m) 7 hrs, including lunch break.
Day 4: Tadapani to Lower Sinwa village(2,050m) via Chhomrong village(2,170m) 6 and half hrs, including lunch break.
Day 5: Lower Sinwa to Deurali(3,200m) 7 hrs, including lunch break.
Day 6: Deurali to Annapurna sanctuary(Base Camp)(4,130m) via MBC(3,700M) 4 and half hrs, lunch camp.
Day 7: Trek from Annapurna Base camp to Tharpu Chuli Base Camp (4700m) 4 hrs. Camping.
Day 8: Trek from Tharpu Chuli Base Camp to High Camp (5200m) 3 hrs, camping.
Day 9: Climb from High camp to summit (5663m) and return back to base camp (4700m)9hrs, camping.
Day 10: Trek from Tharpu chuli Base camp to Machapuchre base camp (3700m) 6hrs, teahouse.
Day 11: Trek from Machapuchre Base Camp to Sinwa village (2340m), 7hrs, teahouse.
Day 12: Trek from Sinwa to Jhinudanda (hot spring)(1750m) 4hrs, and relax at the hot spring. Teahouse.
Day 13: from here by Jeep to Pokhara 3 hrs drive. Lunch will be taken on the way. We then drop you off at your hotel.
